5. HOW TO SET SCANNING CONDITIONS
• Set the resolution according to the size of the text in the original that you are to send.
If you do not set the resolution, the original is sent at the resolution set in the Default Setting for
Document Mode. (
See page 4-24.)
STANDARD: Select this setting when the text in the original is regular size.
FINE: Select this setting when the text in the original is small or you are sending a detailed
drawing.
U-FINE: Select this setting when the text in the original is particularly small or you are sending a
precision drawing.
Tip
If the remote FAX cannot receive originals at the same resolution, the resolution of the sent original
is automatically converted before it is sent. The finer the resolution, the longer it takes to send an
original.

Press the key with the initial screen shown
in the FAX mode.

Use the or key to select the desired
resolution mode.
Press the
key to complete the setting.
• To cancel setting midway, press the key.
