ENGINE (IGNITI ON) SWITCH, TRANSMISSI ON AND PARKING BRAKE
In the f ollowi ng cases, c ontact any aut ho-
riz ed Toyot a dealer or repairer, or anot her
duly quali fied and equipped pr ofess ional:
D Vehicl es wit hout smar t entr y and star t
system—The slip indicator light does
not come on when the engine swi tch
is tur ned to t he “ON” posit ion.
Vehicles wi th smart entr y and star t
system—The slip indicator light does
not come on when the “ENGINE
START STOP” switc h is in IGNI TION
ON mode.
D Vehicl es wit hout smar t entr y and star t
system—The slip indicator light remains
on af ter the engine swit ch i s turned to
the “ON” posit ion.
Vehicles wi th smart entr y and star t
system—The slip indicator light remains
on after t he “ENGINE START STOP”
switc h is in IGNITION ON mode.
D The s lip indicator light comes on while
driv ing.
Vehicles with “AUTO LSD” function
Vehicles without “AUTO LSD” function
TRACTION CONTROL OFF MODE
When get ting t he vehicl e out of mud or
snow, etc., it may be beneficial to turn
off the tracti on cont rol syst em. This
system which also contro ls engine per-
formance may interfere with the pro-
cess of freeing the drive wheels.
