Vehicles with “AUTO LSD” function—
To turn off the syst em: Brief ly push t he
VSC OFF swit ch. The tr action control
system t urns of f and the “AUTO LSD”
functi on becomes eff ective.
The “AUTO LSD” and VSC OFF indic ator
lights will come on and “ TRC OFF” will
appear on the multi−information display.
To turn on: Briefly push t he VSC OFF
switch once again.
The “AUTO LSD” and VSC OFF indic ator
lights wil l go off and “ TRC OFF” wil l dis-
appear.
Once the engi ne is t urned off , tr acti on
contr ol off mode wi ll be automati call y c an-
cell ed.
When you pus h and hold the VSC OFF
swit ch for 3 sec onds or more with t he
vehic le stopped, the VSC+ system will be
turned off. See “Vehicle stability control+
(VSC+) system” on page 267 in this Sec-
tion.
Vehicles without s mart entr y and start sy s-
tem—The “AUTO LSD” and VSC OFF indi-
cator lights come on for a few sec onds
when t he engi ne s witc h i s turned to t he
“ON” posi tion. If t he indi cator li ghts do not
come on when the engine swi tch is t urned
to the “ON” posit ion, cont act any autho-
riz ed Toyot a dealer or repairer, or anot her
duly quali fied and equipped pr ofess ional.
Vehicles with smar t entr y and star t sys-
tem—The “AUTO LSD” and VSC OFF indi-
cator lights come on for a few sec onds
when t he “ ENGINE START STOP” swi tch
is in I GNITION ON mode. If t he i ndicator
lights do not c ome on when the “ENGINE
START STOP” switc h i s in IGNITI ON ON
mode, cont act any author ized Toyota deal-
er or repai rer, or anot her dul y qualifi ed
and equipped profess ional.
If only the traction control system is
turned off, the traction control system will
be r eacti vated whi le v ehicl e s peed is in-
creas ed.
CAUTION
Do not dri ve wi th t he t raction control
system continuousl y turned off.
