It is recommended that the battery with OCV below 12,65V is recharged before installation. The recharging must be
performed such that the battery has been allowed to adapt to the ambient temperature at least 12 hours before
charging begins.

At the trailer application, restricted charging time is expected, which could promote sulfation and early capacity loss.
With the appropriate charging strategy, most of the lost capacity may be recovered.
CChhaarrggiinngg pprrooffiillee:: The recommended charging profile consists of two charging modes:
1. Standard charge profile for TAB AGM battery is I – U (CV – Constant Voltage), where the maximal current is
determined by battery capacity according to following formula: I max = 10 x I20 Example: 70Ah – I20=3,5A; Imax =
35A The Voltage is related to the battery temperature as shown below:
2. Equalizing charge; when the unit is in Cycle Sentry, the Sentry mode represents 61% of this time. Under these
conditions, the battery will not fully charge because the unit will shut down when the second parameter is reached
"Recharge current to the unit battery is 5A or less". The following (CV – Constant Voltage) equalizing charge is
recommended:
I max = 10 x I20 U = 14,8 V at 25°C t= 16 hrs period = once per month
The »Continuous run« could occasionally be used to carry out this phase. In case the control unit is able to follow
the energy throughput, the equalizing charge could be performed according to set value, usually, when the energy
throughput reaches 1500% of battery energy capacity. For 70Ah AGM battery 12,5 kWh energy throughput between
equalizing charge.
