Memory cards
As an alternative to storage memory, you can save data to a memory card. Use either a
m
icroSD or a microSDHC (high capacity) memory card to securely transfer data to and
from another device that supports microSD or microSDHC memory cards.
Note – The
Juno series handheld does not support SDIO (SD input/output) cards.

CAUTION – The presence of any dust or moisture in the memory card slot may adversely
affect the device and void your Trimble warranty. To prevent dust or moisture entering
the memory card slot:
When inserting or removing a memory card, plac
e the handheld on a dust-free indoor
surface.

CAUTION – Static electricity can harm electronic components inside the handheld. To
prevent static damage, discharge static electricity from your body before you touch any of
the electronic components inside your device, such as a memory module. You can do so by
touching an unpainted metal surface.
To insert a microSD or microSDHC memory card:
1. Turn off the handheld. See Turning on and turning off the handheld, page 20.
2. Place the handheld face down on a dust-free indoor surface.
3. Remove the battery cover door, and then remove the battery. See Inserting and
removing the battery, page 18.
4. Slide the card slot cover to the left and it will hinge open.
5. Place the memory card in the slot with the swipes facing down.
6. Lower the cover and slide it back to the right. The card is locked into place.
7. Replace the battery and the battery cover door.
When you select the Sa
ve As option in an application, the memory card appears
in the list of available storage locations.
Note – D
o not store required data or applications to a memory card if the card will be
removed. Data saved to a memory card is available only when the card is inserted in the
handheld.
To remove the memory card from the memory card slot:
1. Turn off the handheld. See Turning on and turning off the handheld, page 20.
2. Place the handheld face down on a dust-free indoor surface.
3. Remove the battery cover door, and then remove the battery. See Inserting and
removing the battery, page 18.
4. Slide the card slot cover to the left to open it, remove the card, then lower the
car
d slot cover and slide it to the right to lock it.
5. Replace the battery and the battery cover door.
