Step Description
Action
1
Make sure the EPU in the engine room is switched ON.

Reset the MCU by pushing the Reset button.
3
Turn the key switch of the MCU to Control Mode.

Wait for 1 minute and write down any alarm which comes up.
Acknowledge the alarm by pressing “ACK” and wait again for one minute.
(Inform VAF if any alarm comes up.)

Go through the configuration menu of the MCU.

Source for ship’s speed (GPS/Speed log). Set to: Ship’s log

Go through the setup menu of the MCU and write down the input.

Total oil limit. Write down

Reset total oil. Set to: Yes

Discharge alarm. Set to: 30 l/NM

Speed indication. Set to: Auto

Flow rate indication. Set to: Auto

Oil type. Write down

Concentration alarm. Set to: 1000 ppm

Printing interval. Set to: 10 min

Oil concentration indication. Set to: Auto

Date and time.

Press the Flush key to go into flush mode.

Check if the pump is running now.

Wait until system comes in Idle mode.

Push the ? Key. Active alarms will be shown. Write down

After print out the MCU will go back to Idle mode.

Push the Stop key.

The system will go to Stand-by.

Turn the key switch to OFF.
