Step 8: Entering Station Data and Front
Direction Angle
Before the sounding is started, the system needs to know its position. The
Sounding Station Position window is used for inputting this data. The
default values shown in this window are read from a database.
To change the Station position settings select Tools - Station position –
RT20. For further details, see section Setting Station Position on page
13.

To enter the station data refer to Figure 12 above and proceed as follows:
1.
Enter the latitude in hundredths of degrees using the numeric
keypad on the Data Entry panel. For example, for 60°12', enter
60.20.
2. Enter the longitude in hundredths of degrees. For example, for
24°30', enter 24.50.
3. Enter the height above the sea level of your location.
4. Estimate the accuracy of the altitude according to WMO
regulations and enter the respective number into the Alt.

WMO TEMP messages.
