• Do not leave any vessel containing or that contained harmful products inside the cab.
• Take o any dirty shoes and clothes before entering the cab.
• Keep cab clean inside.
• Ensure that the cab filters are in good conditions and correctly installed. Ensure that the seals are in
good conditions. Change filters if they have holes or are worn.
• Do not blow inside filters.
• Always duly dispose of vessels. Rinse at least three times any empty vessel, pierce them or crush them
and duly dispose of.
• Follow respective manufacturer’s instructions for pesticides, personal protections, filtering elements and
sprayers. Comply with national health and safety regulations.
• Store chemicals in a safe and locked place, away from food and fodder. Keep away from children.
2.3.22 Filtering Rate
The decal on the vehicle indicates the category
and gives information about protection against
harmful substances such as: dust, fumes, aerosols
etc.
Category 1 cab definition
The cab meets requirements set in EN 15695--1.
This means that cab ventilation and filtering
system does not oer any specific protection
against harmful substances, but only protects from
bad weather (rain, wind, snow, etc.).

Category 2 cab definition
The cab meets requirements set in EN 15695--1.
This means that cab ventilation and filtering
system does oer specific protection against
ingress of dust, keeping a minimum pressure
head. The required filtration of the external air can
be obtained using the air conditioning and setting
the fan to max. speed with doors, roof and
windows closed.
CAUTION:
Category 1 cabs do not oer complete
protection against ingress of dust,
aerosol and vapours. Category 2 cabs
protect against ingress of dust, and
only in part does it protect against
ingress of aerosol and vapours. Read
and follow the instructions given by
the manufacturer of the chemicals
used (such as pesticides, fungicides,
weed killers, etc.) further to the ones
given by the sprayer manufacturer.
Use the appropriate personal
protection equipment and clothes
(PPE) whenever those instructions so
require, in particular if tractor has no
cab but even if working inside the
cab.
