3.11 Daily checks
Before you start the machine, do the preliminary checks below:
Engine oil level
WARNING: The machine can move
without warning.
The machine is heavy and can cause
death or injury.
Park the machine on a clean, hard and
level area. Set the parking brake to
ON and install the wheel chocks.
Do a check of the engine oil level when the oil is
cold.
Remove the dipstick (1), clean the dipstick oil level
marks (2) and install it fully. Remove the dipstick
again and do a check of the oil level. The permitted
range is between the 2 marks (A) on the dipstick
(2).
Do not operate the engine if the oil level is below
the lower mark on the dipstick. If it is necessary,
add the specified oil through the oil filler.

Coolant level
DANGER: Pressurized circuits with
hot fluid.
The hot fluid can cause injury.
Stop the engine and let the system
cool down before you remove the
radiator cap.
Do a check of the coolant level.
Stop the engine and let the system cool down
before you remove the radiator cap.
Slowly turn and remove the cap (1). Slowly fill it up
with the specified coolant if necessary.
The correct coolant level is 25 mm below the cap.
Do not add cold water in a warm engine. It can
cause damage to the engine.
Do not start the engine if the coolant level is below
the minimum level.
