- Pre defines digits to insert in the front of the truncated number.
- Post
defines the digits to insert at the end of the truncated number.
- Pause
defines the position in the number where, if matched, the phone will pause for
additional digits before processing the call. The pause duration is programmable
under the [Dial] section of the configuration file and has a default of 3 seconds.
- Extra
- IP address of phone to send a call if a match occurs. The call is placed to the
IP address in place of the modified number.
In addition to the dial pad digits, special characters can be defined.
- A '?' matches any single digit.
- A "~" matches a string of characters of any length.
- A "," locates the position of a Pause.
- A "." returns dial tone"
The following are examples of dial plans using the Routing Table.
Simple Dial Plan
Customer requirements:
Process the call after any 7 digit number is dialed or if the Operator is dialed at digit '0'.
From the above table, if the user dials 0 as the first digit, the IP Phone will pause for
additional digits. After the pause, if no additional digits are dialed, the phone places a call
to the Operator. In addition, after the user dials any seven digits, the call is processed.
