Maintenance
☞ Slacken fastening screw 5
☞ Remove shackle 6
☞ Slacken fastening screw 7 of alternator 8
☞ Use a suitable tool to push the alternator in the direction of arrow A until reaching the
correct V-belt tension
– see Checking V-belt tension on page 3-28
☞ Keep the alternator in this position, and at the same time retighten fastening screw 7
☞ Check V-belt tension again and adjust it if necessary
☞ Mount the trims and covers back on that have been removed
☞ Connect the battery
☞ Close the engine cover
