4.7 Water treatment system / Filter Care
The Convotherm 4 uses its Filter Care func-
tion to monitor the water treatment system.
Why do we need a Filter Care interface?
Water treatment systems are mostly separate from the areas needing servicing (e.g. behind the
combi steamers) and often are not serviced until the appliances connected to the system are al-
ready exhibiting limescale or damage.
With Convotherm 4, water treatment filters can be connected directly to the combi steamer for
monitoring the water quality.
The Filter Care interface is included in all Convotherm 4 appliances.
The software monitors the filter and outputs a warning message on the combi-steamer display
before the filter cartridge needs changing. This tells the user that the filter cartridge will need
changing shortly (only 10% of the filter capacity left).

the pressure gauge in the steam-generator water
supply:
