Location of Flex Electronic Components
1. General
Most of the electronic components necessary for the WECS9520 are installed on the
engine.
The power supply box E85 (not shown in Fig. 1) is installed near the engine.
2. Control boxes
Data about the most important control boxes and power supply boxes are given as
follows:
2.1 E90
The E90 control box (shipyard interface box) is attached to the middle of the rail unit
(see Fig. 1). The control box E90 contains the terminals that give communication to
the external systems. An FCM20 is installed as an online spare.
2.2 E95.01 to E95.0#
These control boxes are attached to the rail unit near their related cylinders. Each
control box has an FCM20.
2.3 E41.01 to E41.0#
These control boxes are attached to the cylinder block near the lubricating pumps of
the related cylinder. The control boxes have an ALM20. The ALM20 control the
cylinder lubrication for each cylinder.
2.4 E85
The power supply box E85 is installed in the engine room near the engine. The E85
has the two 220 VAC power supplies for the FCM20, fuel pump actuators and
ALM20. The E85 also has circuit breakers to isolate each FCM20, fuel pump
actuator and ALM20.
Note: The power supply has redundancy. If it necessary to isolate the
WECS9520, make sure that the two power supplies are set to off (for
more data, see 40021 paragraph 2, and the block diagram in the control
box).
