WITT-GASETECHNIK GmbH & Co KG
Gas Safety- & Control Equipment
5.5 Electrical installation
Connect the gas analyser to the power supply.
The installation of the electrical connections as per the electrical circuit diagram must be per-
formed in accordance with VDE 0100. The electrical installations shall be performed only by
adequately trained personnel.
The equipment provides the following electrical interface features:
- 4-20 mA analogue signal output.
- RS232C
- potential free contacts for export of alarm signals (option)
Important note!
For connection to the bushes/plugs at the backside of the analyser (for example: RS 232,
volt free contacts, analogue interface) only use shielded plugs/bushes (receivable from
WITT).
Also use only shielded cables (at least type: LIYCY, n x 0.75 mm
2
) for connection. The
shielding of the cables must be properly connected to the designated contact of the respec-
tive plug/bush. Only connect the shielding to the side of the delivered device.
Please note !
The usage of cables that are not approved can result in irreparable damage to the cables in
the case oft heavy mechanical loading. In the case of cables that are not twisted or
screened, signal processing may be inaccurate.
Please note !
Protect the cables from mechanical loads (e.g. using a suitable cable duct). Excessive me-
chanical loads can result In irreparable damage to the cable.
Please note !
It is imperative that the supply voltage in the technical data is provided.
Please note !
Do not yet switch on the power supply.
