7.5.2.1 Relay 1 Mode
The process alarm relays of of the application the process alarms provide several different modes.
To select the R1 Mode submenu mark the first line by pressing <RIGHT> twice and then press
<ENTER>. Depending on the MFA 9000 are a very versatile process interface. In order to setup
this interface regarding the requirements the mode different submenus will appear on the display in
line two and three. The following modes are available:
 “R 1Mode L/H”
The process alarm is set when the measured concentration exceeds the threshold value given
in the R1 Threshold. The Relay 1 will reset when the measured concentration falls below the
threshold value minus the hysteresis given in R1 hysteresis. The hysteresis is calculated in
percent of threshold.
 “R 1Mode H/L” The process alarm is set when the measured concentration falls below the
threshold value given in the R1 Threshold. The Relay 1 will reset when the measured concen-
tration exceeds the threshold value plus the hysteresis given in process alarm hysteresis. The
hysteresis is calculated in percent of threshold.
 “R 1Mode OFF” The process alarm is set OFF permanently. This state is recommended if the
relay is not in use.
7.5.2.2 Relay 1 Threshold
The R 1 Threshold menu gives the user the possibility to set the threshold value for activation or
deactivation of the relay in the indicated measuring units (ppm in this case). Have a look at the pre-
vious section to get information about the effect of these values.
