[2] DISCHARGING, EVACUATING AND CHARGING
IMPORTANT
When discharging, evacuating or charging the refrigerating system, be sure to observe the “PRECAUTION
AT REPAIRING REFRIGERANT CYCLE”. (See page 10-S8.)
(1) Discharging the System
Prepare for the R134a refrigerant recovery and recycling
machine.
1. Connect low pressure side hose (blue) from the recovery and
recycling machine to LO pressure side charging valve (3) on the
compressor (1). Connect high pressure side hose (red) to HI
pressure side charging valve (2) on the compressor (1).
2. Follow the manufacturers instructions and discharge the system.
IMPORTANT
Use only R134a refrigerant recovery and recycling machine.
Eliminate mixing R134a equipment, refrigerant, and
refrigerant oils with R12 systems to prevent compressor
damage.
CAUTION
Protect fingers with cloth against frostbite by refrigerant
when disconnecting the hose to the charging valve.
