A.3 Life of Consumables
Consumables
Important
• The page yields of the toner cartridges are based on A4 size paper loaded in portrait orientation, 5%
coverage per color, and continuous printing. The replacement cycles, however, differ dependent on the
printing condition, area coverage, paper size, paper type, and usage environment.
• The page yield of the drum cartridge is based on A4 size paper loaded in portrait orientation,
continuously printing 2 pages single-sided per job, 5% coverage per color, and 4:6 color-monochrome
ratio. The actual page yield, however, is dependent on the usage conditions, such as the number of
continuous printings, paper size, paper type, feed orientation, paper tray and output tray settings, usage
environment, printer initialization on powering on/off, and image quality adjustments, and may differ from
the reference value. The yield may be less than one-half of the reference value.
If [Color (Auto)] is selected on the print driver, the color drum is consumed even when printing in
monochrome.
Product Life
The life of the printer is as follows:
• When the printed pages reach 100,000 pages, or when the age of the printer reaches five
years, whichever is the sooner.
Important
• The page yield is based on A4 size paper (plain paper) when continuously printing single-sided
documents. The actual page yield, however, is dependent on the printing conditions, such as paper size
and usage environment, and printer initialization on powering on/off, and may differ from the reference
value.
