1. Check:
● LED (light emitting diode)
Does not light → Replace.
CAUTION:
Only use a penlight battery (1.5V) when
checking the LED. Other batteries (e.g.,
alkaline batteries, high-voltage batteries)
will damage the diode.
NOTE:
The LED’s diode only allows current to flow
in one direction. Therefore, if the LED does
not light, reverse the connection.
Battery voltage:
1.5 V
Yellow/Red lead → Positive terminal.
Pink/White lead → Negative terminal.
