Component instructions for the VCP40 phone are:
Shows information about calls, messages, soft keys,
time, date and other relevant data:
• Call information—call duration
• Icons (for example, )

Label automatically to identity their context-sensitive
features.
Rejects or ends a call or returns to the previous screen.
Scrolls upwards through the displayed information.
Enters list or answers incoming calls.
Scrolls downwards through the displayed information.
Generates the digits and special characters ―.‖, ‖*‖, ‖#‖.
Initiates a call or answers a call.
Enables or disables presentation.
Toggles the mute feature.
Adjusts the volume of the speakerphone and ringer.
Indicate phone and call statuses.
Provides ringer and hands-free (speakerphone) audio
output.
Connects a CPE80 expansion microphone to one of two
MIC ports.
Allows you to connect a universal security cable to lock
down your phone. The phone cannot be removed when
locked.
Connects to the VCP40 phone using the7.5m Ethernet
cable labeled Audio In.
