An asterisk (*) after the router ID in a display indicates that the LSA
originated locally.
Displaying a
Database Summary
This display summarizes all LSAs in the link state database. To display the
database summary:
1 Enter the following at the top-level menu:
ip ospf linkStateData databaseSummary
The following prompt is displayed:
Enter Area ID [0.0.0.0]:
2 Enter the area ID.
Enter Area mask [0.0.0.0]:
3 Enter the area subnet mask.

Router LSAs
This display shows the router LSAs in the link state database. Router LSAs
describe the collected states of the router’s interfaces.
To display the router LSAs:
1 Enter the following at the top-level menu:
ip ospf linkStateData router
