Inspecting timing belts
Use this procedure to inspect timing belts.

DANGER
Turn off all:
• electric power supply
• hydraulic pressure supply
• air pressure supply
to the robot, before entering the robot
working area.

Gain access to each timing belt by removing
the cover.

Check the timing belts for damage or wear.3
Check the timing belt pulleys for damage.4
If any damage or wear is detected, the part
must be replaced!

See Timing belt tension on page 103.Use a sonic tension meter to measure the
timing belt tension.

Adjust the belt tension if needed!
