22 Quick start-up guide
NETA-21 start-up
Steps Reference
Make sure that:
• Hardware, software and other requirements are
available.
•
Drives are registered and visible in ServIS.
See Preparation for installation on page 17
Install NETA-21, NEXA-21, USB sensors, modem, and
branching unit.
Change password and make sure to update the firmware
to the latest version.
See Installation of NETA-21 and
environmental sensor on page 29.
Set unique node addresses or IP addresses to each drive
or communication module.
See Configuring DDCS drives
(ACS800/DCS 800/ACSx000) on page 37.
See Configuring Ethernet drives
(ACx580/ACS880/ACS580MV/ACS6080)
on page 40.
Connect the Ethernet cables (optical fiber cables for
NEXA-21) to the drive.
See Installation of NETA-21 on page 29.
Power on and log on to NETA-21 by using a local Ethernet
cable.
Make sure that it has the latest firmware version. If it is
necessary, download and install a firmware update.

Connect ETH2 to Internet using modem or customer LAN. See Configuring connectivity via customer
LAN network on page 35.
Install IPS packages for CMD cloud service, PEC and
Yocto Meteo environmental sensor.

When NETA-21 is connected to the network, read the
portal status display on the NETA interface home page.
Make sure that all four points are green in color.

For DDCS drives, when the drive is not running, configure
datalogger mode to automatic.

For Ethernet drives, reboot NETA-21 and make sure that
the connections stay active i.e. static IP addresses do not
change on power cycle.

Enter NETA-21 information in the CMD gateway admin
settings page.

In CMD gateway settings admin page, validate the serial
numbers and the incoming data from the drives.
