Network and drive connectivity configuration 39
Enabling Data Logger for DDCS connected drives
(ACS800, ACS1000, ACS2000, ACS5000, ACS6000)
WARNING! Stop the connected drives before you do the configuration. Do not
connect new drives when the option is set to Automatic and the drives are
running. In some rare cases, the datalogger configuration can affect the
operation of the drive.
For the ACS880, ACS580MV, ACS6080, DCS880 drives: no configuration is applicable as
only the factory datalogger is used and does not require configuration.
For DDCS optical fiber connected ACS800, ACS1000, ACS2000, ACS5000, ACS6000,
DCS800 drives, automatic configuration of connected drive dataloggers can be enabled.
Recommended settings: Set the Data logger mode to "Automatic" when drives are not
running. This changes the datalogger modes of all connected drives to "keep continuously
running" without need to manually configure each datalogger in the web UI of NETA-21.
Verify the connection speed and the network topology. Keep Ethernet GW (external PC
tool access via local Ethernet) disabled. For Dataset access, "None" is the recommended
default setting for a cloud connected NETA-21. The Modbus/TCP mode should not be
changed (and Modbus/TCP connection to drive via NETA-21 should not be used at the
same time as NETA-21 is used to communicate with the cloud).
