Configuring Ethernet drives
(ACx580/ACS880/ACS580MV/ACS6080)
To connect the drive via the Ethernet port,
1. Install the fieldbus adapter module in the option module slot of the drive and enable it
with parameter 50.01. For supported fieldbus adapter modules, see section Supported
fieldbus adapter modules on page 20.
2. Configure the following parameters in the drive:
Notes:
• You can use parameter 51.27 to refresh the settings of FBA A or you can do a
power recycle of the drive, after saving the changes, to make sure that the
changes are applied.
• The IP addresses in the figures are an example configuration.
3. When the changes are done, configure the Ethernet1 settings in NETA-21 as follows:
The network interface page is in Settings Network interfaces Ethernet 1
4. Select the Use the following addresses: radio button, and then enter an IP address
in the same subnet. IP addresses should be unique in the same subnet.
5. Navigate to Settings Ethernet Settings and set Ethernet Background scan to
Disabled. This is recommended to make the setup stable. Disabling Ethernet
