Configuring connectivity via customer LAN network
Connect the network cable to the ETH 2 port on NETA-21 and configure the network
interface settings as follows.
To configure network settings go to Settings Network interfaces.
Note: IP addresses are case specific. The addresses in the image may not be valid for
your situation.
For the eWON Cosy 131 modem, the addresses are:
Static IP 10.0.0.x (x == e.g. 10)
Netmask 255.255.255.0
Default GW: 10.0.0.53
Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8 (or operator specific)
Select the appropriate mode in the Ethernet 1 or Ethernet 2 tab:
Obtain addresses automatically – Disables the IP address, Subnet Mask and
Default gateway boxes - This is the default setting. In this mode, NETA-21 tries to
retrieve its IP address from the DHCP server. Use this mode if NETA-21 is installed in
customer LAN network without a fixed IP address.
Use the following IP addresses – Configure the fixed static IP address settings by
filling in the following boxes: IP address, Subnet mask, Default gateway, Preferred
DNS server and Alternate DNS server. Use this mode if a fixed IP address is assigned
for NETA-21.
After the connection, click Test Interface, and test by pinging to DNS server 8.8.8.8 or any
public host name such as w
ww.google.com.
Save the configuration when you are done.
