Updating NETA-21 time
Clock battery maintains the time in NETA-21, but adjustment is needed if the NETA-21 is
kept idle (without power and online connection) for a longer duration. As a result, NETA-21
versions 3.21 and before may lose cloud connectivity, if the clock drifts more than 1 hour
backward from real UTC time. An established cloud connection keeps the time
continuously in sync with the real time.
Wrong time in the NETA-21 clock can result in SSL certificate problem or proxy error. In
addition, the stored data will be logged with incorrect date and time stamp.
To update date and time
1. Navigate to Settings
ā Locale ā Date and time.
2. Check the date and time.
3. If the time/date is wrong, from the Time source drop-down list, select Manual.
Note: By default, the Time source is selected as Automatic. The Automatic time
source is same as NTP (Network Time Protocol) and works only if there is an open
Internet connection to access public Internet time server pool.ntp.org. Customer
network firewalls may cause NTP not to work.
4. From the Timezone drop-down, select UTC.
Note: With the cloud based services, timezone must be always selected as UTC.
