6.10 Integrating the camera into ABUS CMS
The following data is required for integrating the camera into ABUS CMS software:
IP address / domain name
http port (default 80)
rtsp port (standard 554)
Username: installer
Password: <password> (assigned and changeable by installer)
6.11 Notes on installation when using object recognition
The camera's object detection can recognise people and vehicles as objects. The object detection takes place
in the thermal image of the camera. Other interfering influences are thereby ignored.
In order to achieve an optimal performance of the object detection, certain frame conditions have to be
observed during the installation or the field of view of the camera.
1. The installation height of the camera should be between 2.5 and 5 metres. The inclination should not
exceed 10 degrees.
2. The object height in the selected image section must be between 1/16 and 1/2 of the image height. If
objects in the image are displayed too large or too small, they may not be recognised correctly.
3. Note that below the camera a certain area is unmonitored (blind spot). This area can be monitored by
installing another camera in the opposite direction.
4. The maximum monitoring distance depending on the focal length of the camera is as follows:
5. Thermal images that are created by reflection and then have the shape of a person or a vehicle can also
trigger the detector.
6. Make sure that there are no branches or leaves in the close-up range of the camera in the frame.
6.12 Notes on Operation: Thermal Sensor Calibration (Noise)
The thermal camera emits a clicking noise when in use. This is normal for thermal imagers with a
"microbolometer" type thermal imaging sensor. The process serves to recalibrate the sensor.
Pay attention to this fact during configuration. Check at the planning stage whether the clicking noise
could pose a problem for the installation environment.
