INTRODUCTION
The
System
Unit
is
the
area of
the
computer,
which
houses
the
processors,
the
system
memory,
disk drive(s),
the
Power Supply
Unit,
a cooling fan
and
all
the
interface
circuitry
for
connecting
the
Keyboard, Display
Unit
and
other
peripheral
equipment.
All
the
electrical
and
electronic
components
are
contained
internally
within
the
plastic
cas,e.
A
shallow
recess
at
the
top of
the
case is provided for
the
Display
Unit.
The
Unit
is designed for ease of transportation,
incorporating a carrying
handle
which
slides
out
from
underneath
the
disk
drive(sl,
and
a sliding cover
to
prevent
dust
or
any
other
objects
entering
the
disk
drive
inputs
during
transit.
The
Keyboard
can
also be carried
attached
to
the
underside
of
the
System
Unit,
utilising
the
clips
provided
on
the
base plate.
