Configuration and Activation
In order to get the monitor to begin taking flow measurements and
recording flow data, it is necessary to configure and activate the
monitor.
NOTE: ADS recommends that the initial configuration
and activation of the TRITON+ occur in the office prior to
the field installation. Refer to Chapter 2, Project
Organization Checklist, for more information.
This chapter contains general instructions on the following
activities concerning monitor configuration and activation:
z Starting and configuring Qstart
™ XML
z Creating and configuring a monitor location
z Configuring the monitoring point installation (pipe) table
(including setting Gain)
z Selecting and editing devices (usually attached sensors)
z Activating the monitor
This chapter also includes the procedures for running diagnostics
and performing confirmations on the sensors, collecting data from
the monitor, and upgrading the firmware (embedded software) in
the monitor using the ADS Qstart
XML
software. You can also
