6.1.5 SCRAMBLING
By using the up / down arrow keys, highlight SCRAMBLING and press ENTER key.
This screen will be displayed: -

NOTE- Parameters must be set in the following order – Scrambling ‘OFF’, Select ‘TYPE’,
Set ‘KEY’, Scrambling ‘ON’.
Scrambling: Choices are On or OFF; Use up / down arrow keys to select, press ENTER to
confirm or ESCAPE to cancel selection.
Type: Choices are BISS-1, Biss-E.
Use up / down arrow keys to select, press ENTER to confirm or ESCAPE to cancel selection.
Note: Not all units support Scrambling modes.
See separate appendix instruction on how to use this feature.
Key: In Biss-1, a 12 digit ‘key’ needs to be entered – each location on the screen must be
changed from * to a number.
In Biss-E, a 14 digit ‘key’ needs to be entered – each location on the screen must be changed
from * to a number.; Use up / down arrow keys to select, press ENTER to confirm or ESCAPE
to cancel selection.
Note: Biss-E also requires another hidden key to be transmitted – this is the serial number of
the unit entered twice and is entered by the factory.
PRESS ESCAPE to return up a menu level.
