operation of the sequence op eration state.
The downward entrance to the Sequence Operation State signals
that some instrument dependent action should b egin at once. An
upward exit is not allo wed until the instrument signals that its
action is complete. Note that complete can be dened dierently for
dierent instruments. For example, consider an instrument that can
sweep a range of frequencies starting with f
1
and ending with f
2
. The
action-complete signal can be dened to coincide with the output of
either f
1
or f
2
.
