4. While monitoring the internal detector, the RF mo dulator level
is varied until the detected p ower is equivalent to the reference
power measured in step 2.
5. Mo dulation is re-enabled if appropriate.
These steps are performed in approximately 200  s and are repeated
any time p ower or frequency is changed.
