Install the Guard chip:

a Orient the Guard chip as shown below.
b Use your finger to gently lower the Guard chip heater.
c Place the Guard chip left end into the inlet base. For an
MMI Guard chip, avoid touching the upright tube against
the sides of the opening.
d Rotate the body of the Guard chip into the GC, lifting the
Guard chip right end over the little bus and into the
pocket. The little bus can move a bit if needed to help seat
the Guard chip.
