4.2 Routing with extend and camped-on release
When routing an external call to a busy internal set, the attendant can put the call on hold. When
the busy internal user hangs up, it is not rung. The external call on hold is signaled to the
attendant. The attendant can then route it to the called user.
The attendant is in conversation with an external party.
1. The attendant dials the number of the desired internal set. This set is busy.
2. To transfer the call, the attendant presses the softkey:
Announce
The busy internal
user quickly hangs
up
He/she is informed that the attendant wants to reach him/her.
Transfer
The attendant may transfer the external party to the internal party
by pressing the softkey.
The busy internal
user does not
quickly hang up
Selecting the number of the external caller allows the attendant to:
Announce
Attempt to reach again the internal party by pressing the softkey.
Intrude
Barge in the conversation between the two correspondents by
pressing the softkey.
Transfer
Inform the busy internal user that an external party wants to reach
him/her, then transfer the external party to the internal user after
he/she has hung up, by pressing the softkey.
