Communicating with Extended-Local I/O 8-13
Status Field Location Description
Channel retry word 0 Displays the number of times extended local I/O scanner tried and failed to
communicate with all adapters on the channel. This value is the sum of all adapter
retry counts.

Displays the number of retries for the corresponding rack entry (word numbers are
in multiples of 10).

IMPORTANT
Setting inhibit bits in the I/O status file does not update
inhibit bits in the controller status file.
