Display Issues?
You may need to adjust the video resolution or display configurations for your Fire TV.
From your Fire TV menu, open Settings > Display & Sounds > Display. You'll see options to select your
preferred video resolution mode (depending on options available for your connected TV) and calibrate your
display.
Some display issues are related to your TV's system settings or hardware, so you may need to contact your TV's
manufacturer directly for more help. For more information, go to Contacting Your TV Manufacturer .
Calibrate Your Display
If part of your display is missing or cut off at the edges of your screen, your TV may be automatically
scaling your picture.
You can use the Calibrate Display option (Settings > Display & Sounds > Display
> Calibrate Display) to adjust for this. You'll see a screen with grey arrows pointing to the edges of your
screen, which you can use as a guide when making your adjustments.
Use the Up and Down arrows on your Fire TV remote to adjust your display so that the grey arrows are
completely visible and touching the edges of your screen.
Audio Issues?
If you're having trouble with audio or seeing video with no sound, here are some things to try:
Make sure the audio on your TV isn't muted.
If your device is connected to an AV receiver, make sure the receiver is on.
From the Home screen, go to Settings > Display & Sounds > Dolby Digital Output and make sure
Dolby Digital Plus is set to OFF.
Unplug and reconnect the HDMI cable connecting Fire TV device to your TV. You may need to try a
different HDMI cable.
Forgot your PIN?
If you're having trouble with your PIN for parental controls and viewing restrictions, you can try resetting it
from your Amazon Video Settings and Devices on the Amazon website.
Go to the Parental Controls and enter a new 5-digit PIN under Amazon Video PIN. Then select Reset
Your PIN.
