Pair a Remote or Game Controller
You can pair your Amazon Fire TV device with Amazon Fire TV remotes, game controllers and some
compatible third-party Bluetooth controllers.
You can have up to seven compatible remotes or controllers connected or paired to your Fire TV at one
time.
The remote that comes with your Fire TV should automatically pair with your device once you insert the included
batteries during setup. However, if your remote doesn't pair automatically, press the Home button for up to 10
seconds and release to try again.

Many third-party Bluetooth game controllers also work with Amazon Fire TV devices. If you're setting up a
third-party Bluetooth remote, go to Connect a Bluetooth Accessory to Your Amazon Fire TV.
Pair an Additional or Replacement Remote
To pair an additional or replacement remote:
Select Settings from the Fire TV menu.
Open Controllers & Bluetooth Devices.
Select Amazon Fire TV Remotes > Add New Remote.
Press and hold the Home button on your remote for up to 10 seconds.
Your Fire TV then searches for your remote's wireless signal. Once discovered, the new remote displays in
the list on-screen. Use one of your already-paired remotes or controllers to select it from the list. You can
then start using the new remote with your device.
Pair a Game Controller
To see which controllers are compatible with a game, open the detail page from your Fire TV and select
the More Info option. Controller information is included in the Works With section.
To pair a game controller:
Select Settings from the Fire TV menu.
Open Controllers & Bluetooth Devices.
Select Game Controllers > Add New Game Controller.
Press and hold the Home button on your game controller for five seconds.
Your device then searches for your controller's wireless signal. Once discovered, the new controller
displays in the list on-screen. Use one of your already-paired remotes or controllers to select it from the list.
You can then start using the new controller with your device.
