Download the Fire TV Remote App to your compatible mobile device and pair it with your Amazon Fire TV
or Fire TV Stick to use it as an alternate remote.
Compatibility
The Fire TV Remote App is available on:
Fire tablets (with a microphone)
Amazon Fire phone
Android 4.0 or higher
iOS 7.0 or higher
The Fire TV Remote App is compatible with Amazon Fire TV devices with software version 1.4.1 or higher. Also, if you
use advanced settings on your router, you need to enable Multicast support to use the app. If you're not sure how to
manage these settings, your router manufacturer will be in the best position to help.
Download
To download the Fire TV Remote App, go to your preferred appstore from any compatible device and
search for "Amazon Fire TV Remote App”. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete installation.

Download & Pair the Fire TV Remote App
Connect your mobile device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Amazon Fire TV device.
Launch the app and select the Amazon Fire TV device you want to pair with.
If you can't find your device, you may see a prompt to Sign in to your Amazon account. Tap the Sign In option
and enter your Amazon account information to help the Fire TV Remote App discover devices registered to your
account.
In the app, enter the code displayed on your TV screen.
Once you pair the Fire TV Remote App, you cannot unpair it. However, if you factory reset your Amazon
Fire TV device, all paired remotes and controllers are removed. To block access to a paired device, you
can also change your Wi-Fi network password.
To see all of the remotes paired with your Amazon Fire TV device, go to Settings > Controllers and Bluetooth
Devices > Fire TV Remotes.
