Proceed with the transfer keeping a hand on the spreader
bar to stop excessive swinging and to give a feeling of
added security.
Once the patient has arrived at destination, lower him/her
down onto the new location.
When needed, use the handles on the back of the sling to
position the patient when transferring into a chair. Hold the
handle firmly to ensure a proper seated position.
When the patient's body weight is fully supported, detach
the leg loops, then the shoulder loops.
Move the lift away from the patient.
Remove the sling from behind the patient.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to pull the lift along the rail
using the hand control cable. This will damage the
cable and eventually ruin the function of the hand
control.
WARNING: When using the lowering function be careful
to not hit the patient with the spreader bar as this could
cause an injury.
