Room Assessment
Following is an assessment example that shows the different accessories to give a general idea of where
they can be encountered in a desired environment.

Accessories
The X-Y Rail System
The X-Y rail system allows the lift to be moved in any direction over a
predetermined area to cover its entire surface.
The Gate
The Gate is a security device which blocks the access between an
X-Y rail system and a fixed rail system to prevent the lift from falling out
of the rail when these 2 systems are not aligned.
The Exchanger
The exchanger allows the lift to change path over to a different rail
system which leads to a different care area.
The Turntable Accessory
The Turntable accessory allows the lift to change route on a multi-
directional rail system.
The PPP (Pre-Programmed-Position)
The PPP is a feature which allows positioning the lift along the tracking
layout to predetermined positions in which the PPP activation stations
are placed. There may be more than one PPP activation station on the
layout, depending on the room configuration.
