Mobile network requirements
Arlo Go 2 Cameras use the SIM card inside the camera to connect to the mobile network and
access your Arlo account. Arlo Go 2 can also connect over WiFi as other Arlo cameras do. For
best results when connecting to the mobile network, Arlo recommends placing your camera
in a location where it has at least three bars of mobile signal strength.
Go 2 can connect via mobile or WiFi
How you connect your Go 2 Camera depends on your location and your security needs. Go 2
is designed to be exible. You can set up your camera in one spot and use it there, or you can
take it with you from place to place, using the available connection methods.
Note: During initial setup, your Go 2 Camera rst connects to the mobile network, and then
you have the option to also connect it to WiFi or skip the WiFi connection step.
Connecting Go 2 only to the mobile network works well when:
Your Go 2 Camera is in a location where WiFi is unavailable or the WiFi signal is weak, such
as a cottage, cabin, large property, farm, or marina.
You travel and want to bring your Go 2 Camera with you in your RV, on road trips, or on
hunting trips.
You plan to use your Go 2 Camera to temporarily monitor dierent locations for pop-up
retail or job sites.
You want continuous security coverage, even if the power goes out or during an internet
service outage.
Connecting Go 2 to WiFi works well when:
The WiFi signal is strong at the Go 2 Camera location.
Your Go 2 Camera mainly uses WiFi at your home or business, but you want peace of mind
