Activating file program functions through the remote connector
selects the file and starts the test that is pre-programmed into
that file.
Do not connect voltage or current to the signal inputs. Applying
voltage to the signal input could result in damage to the control
circuitry.
56 Power Tracking (Models 8206 Only)
The Power Tracking option is a feature that works along with the Continuous Output
Option. In between Run Test steps, if the instrument detects that the power consumed
by the DUT has exceeded the user’s predefined threshold, it will automatically
continue to the next test step.
In the Run Test parameter screen, the user can set the Power-UP and Power-DN
parameters as a percent increase or percent decrease of the test step’s final power
reading. The PF-HI and PF-LO parameters, which are available in the standard unit,
are not available when the Power Tracking option is installed. These are replaced by
the Power-UP and Power-DN parameters. The new Run Test parameter screen will
appear as follows:
When the Power Tracking and Continuous Output options are installed, the DUT will
be connected to the power source during and between test steps. If the power reading
increases above the Power-UP percentage or drops below the Power-DN percentage
from the previous step, then the next step will begin.
