5.5.3 Servicing air filter engine
5.5.3.1 Main parts
5.5.3.2 Recommendation
– New elements must also be inspected for tears or
punctures before installation.
– Discard the filter element (3) when damaged.
– In heavy duty applications it is recommended to
install a safety cartridge which can be ordered
with the part number mentioned on the service
label on the control panel door.
– A dirty safety cartridge (2) is an indication of a
malfunctioning air filter element (3). Replace the
element and the safety cartridge in this case.
– The safety cartridge (2) cannot be cleaned.
5.5.3.3 Cleaning the dust trap
To remove dust from the dust trap (1), clean it with a
dry rag.
5.5.3.4 Replacing the air filter element
– Remove the dust trap (1). Clean the trap.
– Remove the element (3) from the housing (4).
– Reassemble in reverse order of dismantling.
– Inspect and tighten all air intake connections.
