- Position stud -C- in solenoid recess -A-.
- Ensure correct positioning of wiring -B- to solenoid -A-.
-> Fig.5 Checking and adjusting gap width
- Use depth gauge -A- to measure dimension "1" between pulley and clutch disc (-B- and -C-) at three points.
- Apply a voltage of 12 V to 2-pin connector -D- (ensure proper voltage polarity).
- Use depth gauge -A- to measure dimension "2" between pulley and clutch disc (-B- and -C-) at three points.
- Gap width (difference between dimension "1" and "2"):
0.4 to 0.8 mm.
Notes:
◆ The gap width must be within the tolerance over the entire periphery.
◆ The gap width can also be measured with the compressor installed.
◆ If the gap width is not within the permissible range, remove the clutch plate and adjust the gap width by
removing or inserting spacers.
