◆ In vehicles with map-controlled cooling the radiators are controlled by the engine control unit dependent on
the refrigerant temperature.

◆ The "two-way valve -N147" and the refrigerant shut-off valve is only installed into vehicles with map-con‐
trolled engine cooling.
◆ The refrigerant through flow through the heat exchanger of the air conditioner unit is blocked via the refrig‐
erant shut-off valve by the operating and display unit -E87.

Required measuring and testing equipment:
- Handheld multimeter V.A.G 1526,
- Adapter set V.A.G 1594,
- Diode test lamp V.A.G 1527,
- Vehicle diagnosis system VAS 5051 (for vehicles with high-pressure sensor -G65 for testing pressure signal)
Test requirements
All fuses OK in line with current flow diagram.
The fault memory of operating and display unit -E87 has been interrogated - there are no faults.
No compressor shutoff condition has been displayed in the measured value block (display group 001 display
zone 1) of operating and display unit -E87 with the engine running.
