- Test lead (signal wire) at contact 2 of high-pressure sensor -G65.
- Test lead (screening) connected to earth.
Notes:
◆ The illustration shows the signal transmitted at a refrigerant circuit pressure of approx. 5 bar overpressure,
which is equivalent to a duty cycle of approx. 20% (automatic adjustment with compressor at a standstill, at
an ambient temperature of 20 °C, and with filled refrigerant circuit).
◆ -> Pulse width -A- depends on the refrigerant circuit pressure (if the pressure increases, the -A- range
widens).
◆ Signal gap -B- is always 20 milliseconds.
◆ The duty cycle is derived from the ratio between pulse width -A- and signal gap -B-.

12.1 - Electrical check of rear window heating
Note:
This test should only be performed with an operating and display unit with only one display (switch for heated
rear window integrated in the -E87).
Special tools, testers and auxiliary equipment required
◆ Multimeter V.A.G 1715 (with current probe)
◆ Measuring tool set V.A.G 1594 A
Test requirements:
• All fuses OK:
