8.2.8.2 Using Filters in the Event Recorder
Filtering event records can be realized by using the “Set View Filter” button at the bottom
end of the Event Recorder window. Pressing this button will result in a new fully scalable
window:
The “Events Filter window allows to:
Select the ECU (A or B or both) (by using the checkboxes, upper left corner)
Select or unselect specific DTC codes (by using the checkboxes)
Deselect/Select all events (by using the button “Deselect all Events”)
Select specified DTC codes (by using the “Filter String”)
Select text strings in DTC codes (by using the case sensitive “Filter String”)
Hint:
The “Deselect all Events” button will change to a “Select all Events” one after using it.
The latter two features can be (multiple) combined by using a ‘+’ character between the
conditions.
The results of the filter can be seen in the “Event Recorder” window.
Note:
Viewing bigger event recorder files can result in a slow reaction after setting the filter!
