5.1 MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

5.1.3 Regular maintenance
The label dispenser is designed to be
maintenance-free. However, you should service the
unit regularly in order to ensure reliable long-term
operating results.
Removing paper debris
Depending on operating conditions, you should
perform the following at least once a week:
Wipe the paper residue from the rollers and edges.
Clean the sensor lenses with a soft brush or cloth.
Deflexion rollers
Glue from the label material may adhere to the
deflexion rollers.
Moisten a clean cloth with cleaning solvent and wipe
off the dirty deflexion rollers [64B] with it.
Rubber rollers
Glue from the label material may adhere to the rubber
rollers.
Moisten a clean cloth with roller cleaner and wipe off
the dirty rubber rollers [64A] with it.
Renewal of the dust filter liner (ALS 256)
CAUTION!
An exhausted filter liner can cause the
machine to overheat and to break down.
Replace the filter liner regularly, at least
in monthly intervals.
In case of overheating the machine, the error message
„5026 MotorProtect CPU“ appears, see “List of error
messages” on page 60.
Screw out the four thumb screws [65A]. Remove the
filter cover [65B].
Replace filter liner (article no. A8697).
Assemble the filter cover and fix it using the thumb
screws.
