1.2 Important safety instructions
To prevent the risk of electrical shock
• This pr oduct should be operated from a mono phase AC pow er source.
• This apparatus must be grounded (ea rthed) via the supplied 3 conductor AC powe r c able. If none of the supplied power cables
are the c orrect one, consult your dealer.
If you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, co ntact y our electrician to replace your ob solete outlet. Do not defeat the
purpose of t he grounding-type plug.
Never use 2-prong power cor ds, as this is dangerous and could lead to electrical shock.
• Do not allow any thing to rest o n the power cord. D o not locate this product where persons will walk on the cord. To disconnect
the cord, pull it out by the p lug. Never pull the cord itself.
• Use only the power cord su pplied with your device or original replacement cords. While appearing to be similar, o ther pow er
cords have not been safety tested at the factory and may not be us ed to power the device. For a replacement power cord,
contact your dealer.
• Do not operate the projector with a damaged cord. R eplace the cord.
Do not ope rate the projector if the projector has been dropped or dam aged - until it has been exa mined and approv ed for
operation by a qualified service technician.
• Position the cord so that it will not be tripped over, pulled, or contact hot surfaces.
• If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with a current rating at least equal to that of the projector should be used. A cord rated
for less amperage than the projec tor may overheat.
• Never push objects of any kind into this product through cabinet slots as they may touch dangerous v oltage points or short out
parts that c ould resu lt in a risk of fire or electrical shock.
• Make sure that no objects enter into the v ents and openings of the set.
• Do not expose this projector to rain or moisture.
• The projector is designed for indoor use only. Never operate the unit outdoors.
• Do not immerse or expose this projector in w ater or other liquids.
• Do not spill liquid of any kind on this projector.
• Should any liquid or solid object fall into the cabinet, unp lug the set and have it checke
d by qualified service personnel before
resuming op erations.
• Do not d isassemble this projector, always take it to an authorized trained service person when service or repair wor k is required.
• Do not use an accessory attachm ent which is not r ecom mended by the m anufacturer.
• Lightning - For added protection for this video product during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for long
periods of time, unplug it from the w all outlet. This will prevent damage to the device due to lightning a nd A C power-line s urges.
To prevent personal injury
• To prev ent injury and phy sical damage, always read this m anual and all labels on the system before connecting to the wall
outlet or adjusting the projector.
• To prevent injury, take n ote of the weight of the projector.
• To prevent injury, ensure that the lens and all covers are cor rectly installed. See installation procedures.
• Warning: high intensity light beam. NEVER look into the lens! H igh luminance could result in damage to the eye.
• Warning: extremely high brightness laser: This projector uses extremely high brightness laser. Never attempt to look directly
into the lens or at the laser.
• Always switch off the pro jector and disconnect from the mains power s upply before attempting to remove any of the projector
covers or access parts inside the projector.
• This product contains no user serviceable parts except the Color Wheel. Attempts to m odify/replace mec hanics or electronics
inside the housing or compar tments will violate any warranties and may be hazardo us.
• Do not remove/replace any other parts than the Color Wheel. Other parts, s
ervice personnel only Warranty void if removed
• Do not place this equipment on an unstable cart, stand, or table. The product may fall, caus ing serious damage to it and
possible injury to the user.
• Only p lace the projector on a stable sur face, or mount it s ecurely using an ap proved ceiling-mount.
• It is hazardous to operate w ithout lens or lens cap. Lenses or shields shall be changed if they have bec ome visibly damaged,
for example with cr acks or deep scratches, to such an extent that their effectiveness is im paired.
