No. Maintenance action Remarks
1
Check both dust filters of the projector for dust and grease.
Grease on the filter can build up after several months in an environm ent
contaminated with g reasy air. Note that areas where popco rn is consumed are
subject to greasy air.
•Ifthefilters are contaminated with dust than cleaning the filters with a
vacuum cleaner should be sufficient.
• Incasethefilters feel greasy than the filters m ust be washed.
Take into account that the time needed to dry the dust filters may b e 2 4 hours or
more. For that, it’s recom men ded to have a second set of dust filters which ca n
be used while cleaning the fi rst set.
Replace da maged filters immediately.
See procedures "Check the large dus t
filter", p age 106, and "Check the small
dust filter", page 108.
2
Check the surface of the lens output side for dust. (it is not needed to remove
the lens from the projector). Only clean if neces sary.
Clean the lens output side in case dust
is clearly visible upon the surface.
Note: if the lens was removed from
the projector, a manual “Lens Home
& Return” action must be executed
to calibrate the position of the lens in
relation to the Lens H older. This way
the references of the existing ’lens files’
remain valid. See user guide of the
Communicator software.
3
Check the porthole (both sides) for dust. Clean the porthole in case dust is clearly
visible upon the surface. Use an optical
cloth.
